Role Description The Part-Time Lecturer will deliver face-to-face teaching, tutorials, and seminars to students at the Lusaka campus in an on-site capacity. Responsibilities include preparing and updating course materials, lectures, and assessments aligned with programme outcomes and institutional standards. The role involves evaluating student performance, providing timely feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The Lecturer will offer academic advising, support student engagement in both residential and distance learning formats, and contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities as needed. This is a part-time role that requires availability for scheduled classes and meetings on campus.
Qualifications

  • Advanced academic qualifications relevant to the teaching discipline (minimum of a Master’s degree; a PhD or progress toward a PhD is an advantage).
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education, including lesson planning, classroom facilitation, and student assessment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
  • Proficiency with digital learning platforms, educational technologies, and online teaching tools to support distance and blended learning.
  • Ability to design and update curricula that integrate practical, industry-relevant content and support student employability.
  • Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered pedagogy and sensitivity to students from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle part-time teaching responsibilities alongside academic administration as required.
  • Prior experience in distance or online education and familiarity with quality assurance and accreditation standards is highly beneficial.
