Maintenance and Repair

  • Minimal repeat failures following maintenance interventions.
  • Breakdown response and repair targets consistently achieved.
  • Equipment availability maintained above target levels
  • Maintenance work completed in accordance with OEM standards and SMPs.

Equipment Inspection and Fault Diagnosis

  • Potential equipment failures identified and reported before.
  • Equipment reliability improved thorough proactive inspection and condition monitoring.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) conducting for recurring equipment failures.

Component Replacement and Precision Fitting

  • Bearings, seals, shafts, gears, and other components installed correctly with zero rework.
  • Equipment alignment and tolerance maintained within OEM specifications
  • Maintain quality standards consistently

Equipment reliability and continuous improvement

  • Reduce downtime through effective maintenance practices.
  • Maintenance costs optimized through improved asset care and repair practices.
  • Measurable improvements achieved in equipment performance and reliability.

Teamwork and Communication

  • Timely communication of equipment defects, risks, and maintenance requirements.
  • Positive contribution to team performance and problem-solving activities.
  • Effective collaboration with operations and other departments.

Health, Safety and Environment Compliance

  • Full compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and permit-to-work system.
  • Correct use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
  • Good housekeeping maintained in all areas.
  • No environmental incidents resulting from maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Trade certificate or diploma in Mechanical fitting
  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
  • ZAQA Certified academic qualifications
  • Must be registered with the Engineering institute of Zambia (EIZ)
  • Experience in maintaining pumps, ring blowers, cooling towers, aerators or similar industrial equipment
  • Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance
  • Experience in FMCG industry is an added advantage
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems

Must have skills

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures efficiently.
  • Ability to align and fit rotating equipment with precision
  • Ability to Conduct equipment inspections and condition assessments.
  • Skilled in the usage of measuring and diagnostic instruments accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Ability to Prepare maintenance reports and work records.
  • Multitasking skills
