National Milling Corporation Limited is a reputable multinational company specialised in the manufacturing of various products, such as flour, mealie meal, stockfeeds, and trading in rice and other products. We are looking for an organized and motivated Warehouse Assistant to join the Corporation

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT X 1: LUSAKA

Core Duties and Responsibilities include:

Inventory Management & Stock Control: Receiving and unloading deliveries, inspecting items for damage, labelling stock, and placing items in designated storage areas. Ensuring accurate stock levels, assisting in developing and implementing strategies to optimise storage and distribution operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers, including Supervising of loading & offloading of goods.

Order Fulfilment: Picking, packing, and scanning items for outbound orders to ensure accurate, timely dispatch.

Warehouse Operations & Safety: maintaining a clean, organized warehouse and adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

Data & Record Keeping: Updating inventory systems (ERP/ BC Navision), performing regular stock counts, and reporting inventory discrepancies or damage to supervisors.

Logistics & Teamwork: Loading delivery vehicles and assisting with daily warehouse operations, including collaborating with other departments to meet operational goals.

Warehouse Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with inventory software, and able to upload data into the company system

Able to work independently

Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory

Highly organized and able to store items efficiently

Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organisation and the state

Interested candidates must possess a full grade (12) School Certificate, Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or better, at least (3) years’ previous work experience in a similar role, and should be a member of the Zambia Chartered Institute for Logistics & Transport (ZCILT).
