Network Engineer

Zambia National Building Society seeks to externally recruit a qualified, skilled, motivated, and energetic individual to fill the Network Engineer position under the ICT Directorate.

NETWORK ENGINEER

Grade: ZNBS 6

Job Purpose

To manage ZNBS computer network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers, and senior staff members.
• Maintain expert knowledge of relevant technologies, industry best practices, and provide proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
• Analyse performance information for audit and maintenance purposes so that network services and peripherals are efficiently and cost-effectively provided.
• Provide day-to-day support of the business systems to ensure effective IT security on networks.
• Establish a sound IT network infrastructure management approach.
• Build resilience in the network.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Certification in one or more of the following:
  • CCNA
  • A+
  • Network+
  • MCSA
  • TOGAF
  • ITIL v4
  • COBIT 5
  • Security+
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience.
• ICTAZ Membership.
