Job Description
The Digital Sales Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Lusaka, responsible for driving digital advertising revenue across Nkwazi’s online platforms and interactive editions. This role includes identifying and pursuing new digital sales opportunities, managing a pipeline of prospects, and nurturing long-term relationships with advertisers and agency partners. The Digital Sales Manager will design and present tailored digital media packages, negotiate terms, and oversee campaign execution in collaboration with editorial, marketing, and design teams. Daily activities involve monitoring campaign performance, preparing sales reports and forecasts, and ensuring a high standard of client service and retention. The role also contributes to pricing strategies, market analysis, and the development of new digital offerings aligned with Nkwazi’s brand and audience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Sales and Sales Management, including prospecting, closing deals, and achieving revenue targets.
- Experience with Digital Media and Digital Marketing, particularly in planning and selling online campaigns and branded content.
- Strong Account Management capabilities, with a track record of maintaining and growing advertiser relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain digital products in clear, client-focused terms.
- Ability to analyze metrics, interpret campaign performance data, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, ad-serving platforms, and basic digital analytics (e.g., social media metrics, web analytics) is an advantage.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven media environment on-site in Lusaka.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Media, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
