We are looking for an experienced Butchery Operations Manager to oversee our meat processing plant and retail butchery stores in Lusaka, Zambia.
The role will be responsible for managing production operations, retail store performance, stock control, hygiene standards, and traceability systems. The successful candidate will ensure efficient processing, strong operational controls, and consistent product quality across all stores.
This position requires a hands-on professional with strong butchery knowledge, operational management experience, and the ability to lead production and retail teams.
Experience Required
• Minimum 6+ years experience in a butchery, meat processing, or retail meat environment
• Experience managing butchery operations, production teams, or retail meat departments
• Proven ability to lead staff and manage day-to-day operations
• Strong understanding of stock control, hygiene standards, and operational procedures and convesent
• Experience working with operational systems and reporting tools
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with operational and inventory management systems for stock control, production tracking, and reporting
